Bring the Garden Indoors
Watercolor Painting by Dennis Pendleton. Flowers still remain one of my favorite subjects for painting in watercolor. My favorite is painting them on location in places like Denver Botanic Gardens but I also really enjoy setting up bouquet's alone or in still lifes. Typically I choose one flower that that will be slightly more important than the others and start there. I decide where to place it in the composition as I did here with the yellow flower in the upper right.

Watercolor Impressionism
Watercolor Painting by Dennis Pendleton. I painted again in Denver Botanic Gardens this weekend and the weather was quite comfortable as we set up in the shade. Thanks to all the gardeners and volunteers, the gardens keep changing and there is never a shortage of dazzling subjects. Painting In Paradise
Watercolor Painting by Dennis Pendleton. Today was the last day of my Steamboat Springs Watercolor Workshop and I would like to thank everyone who attended. It was a very rewarding experience for me as I watched each artist improve from day to day. This is a painting from a previous Steamboat Springs Workshop because I have not had time to photograph my paintings, transfer them to my computer and then get them ready for my Sunday email.
