Paul Cezanne’s Studio in Provence
Visiting Paul Cezanne’s Studio in Provence is something I have wanted to do since art school at The Ohio State University. We were there in the afternoon and the light was beautiful. The cast shadows were full of color and I could see why Paul Cezanne loved painting in this area. Often dissatisfied with his paintings he was notorious for throwing them out of the second story window. The people in charge didn’t allow photo’s in his studio or painting on the grounds so I painted this back home at my studio in Denver. I will never forget how his spirit was still there and how everything was just how it was when he lived there.
